After two years of pandemic, where we had to close ourselves to the world, I wanted to create this new series of pendants inspired by the sacred scarabs of ancient Egypt, as a symbol of rebirth and a better future.

In the culture of ancient Egypt, the scarab was a symbol of resurrection and eternal rebirth in becoming and transforming, ensuring only happy events and a constant improvement of the intuitive and spiritual faculties.

After tektite, amber and turquoise, my research on scarab engraving continues. I engraved this pendant using beautiful natural adularia, of a milky gray color, with the soft reflections typical of moonstone.

Since ancient times, adularia was considered a stone capable of guarding and transmitting the energy of the moon. In India and the Roman Empire it was believed that it was born directly from the moon's rays penetrating the rock; not by chance, in Hindi it is called Chandrakant, or “loved by the moon”. Always associated with the feminine world and intuitive powers, tradition says that ancient fortune tellers, sometimes dressed as women, they held it in their mouths to obtain visions of the future.

I then forged the loop in yellow gold 18 k, as always, by hand, in my laboratory with traditional equipment.
