Grande amber pendant natural yellow baltic, cut in the shape of a large Baroque drop stone . This large drop has the particularity of being two-colored: transparent towards the outside and opaque white (butter) to the center. I made this big drop by cutting raw amber from the Baltic Sea region.

The Baltic Amber (mineralogical name: succinite) it is one of the most important and ancient fossilized resins, has at least 40 millions of years. Proviene, come dice il nome, dai paesi che si affacciano sul mar Baltico, quali Polonia Russia e Lituania. Altri giacimenti sono stati ritrovati anche in Danimarca e nei paesi della Penisola Scandinava , come Svezia e Finlandia. Grazie ai suoi colori caldi e attraenti è il tipo d’ambra più conosciuto sul mercato.

I forged the setting of this amber and gold pendant in 750 / °° yellow gold making a tube loop of approx. 7 mm diameter for the passage of a chain or cord. The tube is rigidly pivoted to amber and helps to make the pendant as unique as any of my pieces of jewelry.

All my jewels are handmade in my workshop with traditional equipment.
