Proseguo la mia ricerca sui gioielli ispirati al giappone con questa mia nuova collezione di grandi ma delicati orecchini e pendenti che ho chiamato HANAMI.

Hanami è un termine giapponese che si riferisce alla tradizionale usanza di godere della bellezza della fioritura primaverile degli alberi, in particolare i ciligi giapponesi, dalle molteplici sfumature che vanno dal bianco al rosa acceso.

La prima difficoltà è stata trovare dei fiori in corallo molto piccoli, in tonalità che vadano dal bianco rosato al rosso. Non avendo trovato alcun tagliatore che fosse disposto a incidere dei fiori in corallo così piccoli e delicati, I decided to make them myself, cutting pink and red coral spheres in half and engraving them in my workshop.

I then sculpted the stylized branches, in ebano nero di alta qualità, on which I based the three flowers and the small gold gems.

A seguire ho poi completato gli orecchini con perno e farfallina in oro giallo 750/°° (18 k), on the back of the branch, and here they are in all their delicate refinement.
